Lauren Kratzer

Lauren joined the Heffel team as a student at the University of British Columbia. During her undergraduate work, she also attended the University of Sussex in England, and while abroad, exposure to the international art world only increased her interest in the field. In 2010, Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts from UBC in Art History and English Literature, with a focus on twentieth century and contemporary art.

Before working at Heffel, Lauren gained experience in both museum and gallery environments. She has great expertise in Canadian art, with an acute interest in Canadian post-war and contemporary art, in addition to a broad knowledge of American and European artwork. As the Director of Online Auctions, Lauren manages Heffel’s monthly online auctions and assists with the development of Heffel’s corporate art divestment platform, HO2. Lauren also coordinates consignments for Heffel’s spring and fall live auctions and is passionate about the exceptional examples of historical and contemporary art that Heffel so proudly offers.

Outside of the gallery, Lauren enjoys long distance running and is a proud supporter of the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia.
