Each dish a mirror image and depicting Xiwangmu, the Queen Mother of the West, celebrating her birthday with other Daoist deities including the Eight Immortals, Magu, the Hehe Erxian and Kui Xing, the scene filled with many auspicious longevity symbols including peaches, cranes and deer, all in a fantastic landscape of rivers, mountains and temples, the upper region with a poem carved to wish a peaceful extension of one’s life, the rim of foliate form banded in metal, while the reverse with a body containing multiple peonies and a band of dragons chasing flaming pearls, all fitted with a metal ring along the edge and a metal rectangular-form six-character daqing Qianlong nianzhi mark.
