Tania Poggione

Tania Poggione serves as Director of Heffel's Montreal office and Senior Consignment Specialist, focusing on appraisals, consignments and auction sales. She joined the Heffel Fine Art Auction House in 2005.

Tania's fifteen years of experience at Heffel make her a trusted advisor to clients and a key member of the national team in maintaining the company’s pre-eminent position. She is a Canadian and International Art Specialist, with a particular expertise in Canadian/Quebec Modern, Post-War & Contemporary Art. She has significant experience appraising private, public and corporate collections, advising estates and institutions, in addition to sourcing and securing prestigious consignments. Tania also handles International artwork authentications by liaising with leading experts and institutions worldwide.

Prior to joining Heffel, she worked at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. She gained international experience while interning in Carthage, Tunisia, under the auspices of UNESCO, and while working in France.

Tania holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classical and Ancient Studies from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal.

Tania in a Member of the International Society of Appraisers having completed the ISA Core Course in Appraisal Studies and being educated in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

Tania is trilingual (French, English and Italian).
