Notes on Material
Comments on Condition
Specific areas of the artwork may appear to be splashed or spray-like accretions. White paper fibres are stuck to a 3 inch portion of the work in the lower half. Powdery accretions present in areas of colour in the lower half of the work that appear to be emerging from the paint itself. There also appears to be an area of stable cracking in the lower half of the work, possibly to mimic a wood cracking texture. We believe that these aspects of the work were intentional at the hands of the artist. It should be noted that the fabric matting surrounding the work appears to have been waterstained. This staining does not indicate to us that the artwork itself has sustained water damage.
