Collection of George Elijah Eckerman, Oregon and then Prince Rupert (1913 - 1947)

The consignor's grandfather, George Elijah Eckerman, moved to Prince Rupert in 1913. George Elijah Eckerman was originally from Oregon, and moved to Prince Rupert as an entrepreneur in the dry goods business. He remained in Prince Rupert until his passing in 1947. As inscribed on verso, this work was created in nearby Port Simpson, now known as Lax-Kw'alaams. This work has remained in the same family until its consignment to Heffel, in addition to lots 104, 105 and 120.
