Marie-Hélène Busque
Marie-Hélène received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University, majoring in Art History, where she was part of the Co-Op program. This allowed her to gain professional experience in two established commercial galleries in Montreal as well as at the McCord Museum, where she worked as research and curatorial assistant on two exhibitions showcasing the Canadian Costume and Textiles collection. Throughout her undergraduate degree, Marie-Hélène also worked as a customer service agent for the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
She completed her Masters in Art History at Concordia University, while working as a teaching and research assistant. Her Master’s thesis was funded by the Renata Hornstein Graduate Fellowship and the Faculty of Fine Arts Fellowship. She has also completed a certificate in Business Management at HEC Montréal. In her spare time, she volunteers as secretary on the board of directors of Montreal Arts Interculturels (MAI), a multidisciplinary cultural organization that presents yearly performing arts programming and exhibitions in its gallery space, while offering a variety of artist-driven mentorship and residency programs.
As Co-Director of Online Auctions, Marie-Hélène oversees, develops and curates Heffel’s monthly online sales. She is also a consignment specialist. She is fluent in English and French.
